Sahara Tanners

Our place, Sahara Tanners, is located at No. 1 Kumaraswamy Street, right off Thiruneermalai Road. It’s a busy corner and we have been here for quite some time now. Tanning is a tough business and it requires a lot of patience to get it right. We spend most of our time at the facility making sure the processes are followed correctly. It’s a lot of physical work and the hours can be long sometimes. We don't have a polished showroom; it’s more of a working warehouse where things actually get done. The team here knows the routine inside and out. We deal with various types of leather and skins throughout the week. Sometimes the machines need a bit of extra attention, and we have to fix them ourselves when they break. We aren't a big corporation with lots of layers. We just work together to finish the orders on time for the customers. The area around Thiruneermalai Road is full of activity, so there is always something going on outside our doors. We like being part of this local industrial scene. We don't make big promises we can't keep. We just show people what we have produced and let the work speak for itself. On rainy days, the road gets a bit muddy, but we still manage to get the trucks in and out. Most of the guys here have lived in this neighborhood their whole lives.
