Mercury Electric

We are located at No 5, Bajanai Koil Street in Rajakilpakkam. Most days start the same way around here. We pull up the metal shutters and let the morning air in before the street gets too busy with people going toward the temple. It’s a simple setup we have. There are shelves filled with parts and some old desks where we sit to figure out the day's work. It gets a bit dusty because of the traffic outside, but we don't mind it much. The neighbors usually poke their heads in to say hello or ask for a small tool they misplaced. We spend most of our time dealing with electrical stuff that comes through the door. It isn't a quiet place, especially when the buses start running frequently, but it feels right for us. There isn't any fancy carpet or bright lights in the back room where the real work happens. We just use what we have and keep things moving. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall down the road and sit for ten minutes before getting back to the wires and the testing kits. It’s just a regular local shop where people know our names and we know theirs. Nothing is overly organized, but we know where every single screw and fuse is kept when a job needs doing quickly. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but work comes first.
