Palme Deor Media College

We are located over at Bss Towers on 1st Main Road in Tambaram West. It is a busy area in Chennai, so finding parking can be a bit of a headache most days. The college started because there were not many places around here for people to learn media stuff. We have some rooms set up for different classes. It is not a huge campus like the ones you see in movies, but it gets the job done. The students are mostly local kids from around Bharathi Nagar. We talk about cameras, editing, and how news works. Sometimes the equipment is being used by one group, so others have to wait their turn. That is just how it goes in a small place. The staff here are mostly people who have worked in the industry before. We do not spend much time on long speeches. It is more about doing the work and seeing what happens. The building itself is easy to find once you get to the main road. We keep the library open for a few hours after classes finish. Sometimes we stay late to finish a project or just talk about movies. It is a bit noisy because of the traffic outside, but we got used to it. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed so nobody feels too much pressure. If you are looking for a big fancy hall, this is not it. It is just a place where we learn about media.
