Arumai Catering Service operates out of a busy spot in Natco Colony. Thiruvanmiyur is usually buzzing, and our kitchen on Anna Street is no different. We start our mornings by checking the vegetable deliveries and making sure the stoves are ready. It gets quite hot in the back when all the big burners are going at once. We handle a lot of different events, mostly for people living nearby who need a lot of food at once. There is no big office here, just a working kitchen where we spend our hours. You can usually find someone chopping onions or packing up containers for delivery. We have been in this 600041 area for some time, and we know the streets pretty well by now. The van gets loaded up several times a day to head out. It is physical work, and our hands are always busy with something. We don't have a flashy storefront because we are mostly focused on the cooking part. Sometimes people drop by to talk about their plans, and we just sit among the stacks of trays. It is a loud, messy, but honest way to make a living. We just try to get the orders right and out the door on time. Every day brings a new set of menus to deal with. That is just our routine here at the colony.
