Government School Football Stadium

This stadium is tucked away at No 4/245, 1St Main Road in Bhel Nagar. If you go behind the Ragamalika Apartment Phase-Iii in Medavakkam, you will find us. It’s a big open field where kids from the local government school and the neighborhood come to play. The grass isn't always perfectly green, especially during the dry months in Chennai. We have been at this 600100 address for a long time. In the evenings, the place really comes alive when the heat dies down a little. You can hear the coaches shouting and the sound of the ball being kicked around. It’s a simple stadium, nothing like the professional ones you see on TV. There are some basic stands for people to sit on, but most people just stand along the sidelines. We spend a lot of time keeping the ground level and making sure the nets aren't too torn up. The surrounding area has grown a lot with new apartments, but the field stays the same. It’s a vital spot for the kids to get some exercise and enjoy their time outside. We don't have fancy lights for night games, so everything has to happen before the sun goes down. The Government School Football Stadium is just a plain, useful space for sports. Medavakkam is a busy part of town, but once you get onto the field, it feels like there’s a bit more room to breathe and relax. We like seeing the community use the space every single day. It keeps the place feeling alive and important.
