Freelancer

I work as a freelancer out of my place in Kattuppakkam. The address is 56 Indiranagar Park Street, in the Chendurpuram Extension. The house is called 'Kailash'. It’s a quiet residential street, which is perfect for focusing on work. I’ve lived here for quite a while, and my work setup is just a desk in one of the rooms. There isn't a big staff or anything, just me doing various projects that come my way. Chennai is busy, but out here in Kattuppakkam, it feels a bit more removed from the chaos. I spend most of my day at the computer. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside, and I can hear them through the window. It’s a simple life. I don’t have a boss looking over my shoulder, but I have to be disciplined to get things done. I handle everything myself, from the actual work to the billing and emails. The house is easy to find if you know the park street. It’s a very local vibe. No fancy office furniture, just what I need to stay productive. I usually take a walk in the evening to clear my head. Working from home has its ups and downs, but being in a place like 'Kailash' makes it feel comfortable. It’s just a person and their laptop, really. It gets the job done and I don't have to commute anymore. It suits my lifestyle perfectly.
