Saraswathi Vidyalaya N & P School

Our school is located right on the Sholinghur Main Road in Vellore. Being on the main road means it’s always busy outside with traffic and people going about their business. Since we handle nursery and primary kids, the mornings are always a bit chaotic with parents dropping off their little ones. You can hear the rhymes being sung from the younger classes if you stand near the entrance. The building has different rooms for different ages, and we try to keep things organized, even though kids will be kids. We’ve got benches that are the right size for small children and colorful charts stuck on the walls to help them learn their letters and numbers. It’s a local spot where most neighbors know each other. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud or a door squeaks, but we don't mind much as long as the teaching gets done. We spend a lot of time making sure everyone stays in line during assembly and that nobody wanders off toward the road. It’s a lot of work looking after small children all day, but it’s what we do here in Sholingur. The playground isn't massive, but there's enough room for them to run around a bit before lunch. It’s a simple school for the families living around this part of Vellore who need a nearby place for their kids to start out and learn the basics.
