Billabong High International School

Billabong High International School is situated out in Vanganur, right along the Tiruttani to Sholingur National Highway. It’s part of the Shri Vahri Educational Charitable Trust. Being out on the highway means we have quite a bit of space, which is nice for the students. We have several buildings for the different grades and some outdoor space for sports and activities. The drive out here from Tiruvallur takes a bit of time, so many of our students and staff use the school buses. It’s a bit of a different environment compared to the schools right in the middle of a crowded city. We try to keep things organized, but with so many kids, there’s always something going on, whether it’s a missing notebook or a scrapped knee. The classrooms are filled with the usual stuff like desks, posters, and books. Our office handles the administration for the trust as well as the school itself. It’s a lot of paper to move around. We don't have any fancy marketing slogans or anything like that. We just provide a place for children in this part of the district to come and learn. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when there are exams or special events planned. But mostly, it’s just a routine of lessons and lunch breaks. It’s a practical, local school serving the families who live along this stretch of the road.
