Kalvikkottai Christian High School

Kalvikkottai Christian High School is over in Arakkonam and we’ve been here in the 631001 area for quite a long time. The building is older but it serves the purpose just fine for the kids who come here every day. Most of the students live nearby so they just walk or cycle in when the gates open in the morning. We have the usual classrooms with blackboards and desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. The teachers here have been around for a while and they know most of the families in the neighborhood by now. It’s a high school so the students are at that age where they are starting to worry about their future and their exams. We spend a lot of time just making sure they stay on track with their lessons. The yard gets very hot in the afternoons because of the Arakkonam sun so everyone tries to stay in the shade during the lunch break. Sometimes the fans in the rooms make a lot of noise but you get used to it after a while. We don't have anything too fancy here just the basics for a school to run properly. It’s a place where work gets done and the children grow up and move on to whatever is next for them. People know us as the local school that’s always been there on the street. We just keep our doors open and do our job every day.
