Valliammai Matriculation School

Valliammai Matriculation School is right here on Motto Road in Sholingur. If you know this part of Vellore, you know how it gets in the afternoons. Our building is easy to find. We have been here for a while now, just doing what schools do every day. The morning starts early when the gates open and the first few kids show up. Sometimes it is a bit chaotic with the cycles and the parents dropping off their little ones, but we get through it. There is a lot of chalk dust and the sound of desks moving around. It is a plain place, nothing too fancy. We have the usual classrooms and a bit of space for the kids to run during lunch. The staff room is usually full of notebooks that need checking. Most of the teachers live nearby, so they walk or come by scooter. Sholingur is a quiet enough place except for when school lets out. Then you hear everyone talking at once. We just focus on the lessons and making sure everyone has what they need for the day. It is a job that keeps us busy from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, it is a bit quieter but there is always some paperwork to finish in the office. We do not have big posters or anything. Just the name on the wall and the kids in their uniforms going about their business.
