Zam Zam Travels

Our office is over on M E Road, which is right in the heart of the Paltanbazar area here in Guwahati. It is quite easy to spot us because we are very close to the Kunjaban Hotel, which everyone knows. If you’re walking down from the main station side, you’ll see the traffic and the local vendors lining the street before you reach our door. The office itself is pretty simple, nothing too flashy or corporate-looking. We just have our desks and chairs and the usual paperwork scattered around. It gets pretty loud outside with the horns and the people shouting, but that’s just how Paltanbazar is. We have been here for a bit, and we’ve seen how the road gets during the rainy season when the puddles start to form near the hotel entrance. Usually, we are here from the morning until the evening, dealing with whoever walks in off the street. There is a small tea stall nearby where we get our daily chai, and that’s basically our morning routine. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just carry on. It’s a local business run by local people who know this part of Guwahati like the back of our hands. Finding a spot to park a bike is usually okay, but a car is a different story on M E Road. You just learn to live with the chaos of the city while working here at Zam Zam Travels.
