My Voyage

My Voyage is situated at House Number 3 on Basistha Road, which is in the Lastgate area near the Assam Sachivalaya. It’s part of the H/O A.K. Saikia building. Since we are so close to the Secretariat, the area is always busy with government workers and people having official business. It’s a lively part of Guwahati to be in. We started this because we liked the idea of helping people plan their trips. Our office is pretty modest. We have some maps on the walls and desks piled with notes. It isn't a high-end agency with glass partitions. It’s more of a place where you can sit down and talk about where you want to go. We handle a lot of the local travel around Kampur and the wider Assam region. Dealing with travel can be messy—trains get delayed, weather changes, and sometimes plans just fall through. We spend a lot of our day on the phone or checking schedules on the computer. It’s not always glamorous work, but it keeps us busy. We are just local people who know the local roads and the usual ways to get around this part of the country. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty because of the road work nearby, but that’s just life here. We don't try to sound like a big international company. We are just a small team in Lastgate doing our thing, trying to make travel a bit easier for people.
