Our shop is over on M E Road in Paltanbazar, right across from the Brindabon Hotel. If you know that area, you know it is always loud and full of people. Ruchika Tour And Travel has been operating out of this small space for some time now. We aren't a big company with fancy suits; it is mostly just us in our everyday clothes handling travel bookings. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or just talking to people who walk in off the street to ask about bus prices or car rentals. The office is a bit small and sometimes gets crowded when more than two people show up, but we make it work. We’ve got a lot of ledgers and papers stacked up because we still like to write things down. Being in Paltanbazar is convenient because the station is close, but the dust and noise can be a bit much some days. We don't have a grand philosophy or anything like that. We just help people get their tickets and make sure they have a way to get where they are going. Most days we are just sitting here with a cup of tea, waiting for the next call. It’s a simple way to earn a living and we know the local routes pretty well by now. Just look for the sign opposite the hotel and come up if you need something.
