If you go behind the MLA Hostel in Ganeshguri, you will find the Sahajan Market. We are tucked away in Room Number 20 there. Ganeshguri is always a bit of a nightmare for traffic, especially near the flyover, but it is a good central spot for a business. The office is small and simple, nothing like those big travel agencies you see in the malls. We have been operating Wanderlust Holidays from this little room on Dr Rajendra Prasad Road for some time now. Most of our day is spent looking at maps or calling up hotels to see if they have space. It gets quite busy in the evenings when people are heading home from work and decide to pop in to ask about a weekend trip. We keep a lot of physical files because sometimes the internet in the market acts up and you can't rely on it. It’s just how things go here. The staff is just a couple of us who have lived in Guwahati our whole lives. We know which roads are under repair and which ones are clear, which helps when we are planning things out for people. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but it is quieter back here behind the hostel. We just do our work, drink a lot of tea, and help people get to where they want to go without too much fuss.
