Our office is located at Number 26 in Mahavir Bhawan, which is right on A T Road. If you are coming near the overbridge, you will probably see the building. A T Road is one of the main veins of Guwahati, so it is always packed with trucks and cars. Because of that, it can get quite loud in the office, but you get used to the sound of horns after a while. Raj Yatra Travel Agencies has been here for a good number of years. We have seen the overbridge get built and the traffic get heavier every year. The office itself is quite old-fashioned. We have wooden desks and a lot of paper maps and ledgers because we still like to do some things by hand. People stop in when they are waiting for their buses or if they work in the nearby warehouses. We help with all sorts of travel plans, whether it is a quick trip to another city or something longer. It is a no-frills kind of place. We don't have air conditioning that works all the time, so we keep the windows open when we can. It’s a very honest way to work, just being right there on the main road helping whoever walks through the door. We aren't trying to be the biggest agency, just a reliable one that the locals on A T Road can count on.
