Rahi Travels

Our office is on the ground floor of the Indian Building over on Danish Road. If you know where the Digital Gold Cinema is in Lakhtokia, then we are right nearby. It is actually quite close to the Swiss Watch shop too, which is how most people find us when they get lost. Being on the ground floor is nice because people can just wander in without having to climb a lot of stairs. The Lakhtokia area is always loud and full of energy, so there is never a quiet moment outside our door. Inside, it is just a basic setup with some old calendars on the wall and a couple of computers that we use to check routes and timings. We have been in this part of Guwahati for a good bit of time. Most of the people who come to us are locals who live nearby or work in the shops around Danish Road. We do a lot of train and bus stuff, and sometimes we help people plan out their vacations if they have a bit of money saved up. It is mostly just about getting the details right so nobody gets stuck somewhere they don't want to be. Running a place like Rahi Travels means you meet a lot of different people every day. Some are in a hurry and others want to sit and chat for an hour about where they are going. We just take it as it comes.
