We have a bit of a presence in both Lokhra and Lakhtokia. Our main spot that people visit is on S S Road in the Lakhtokia part of Guwahati. It is a very central location which makes it easy for people to find us after they get off a bus or a train nearby. The office is pretty basic, just the essentials like a phone, some chairs, and a desk where we keep all the registers. We have been doing tours and travels for a long time under the name Nirmala Tours & Travels. A lot of the work involves talking to people about the best way to see Assam or just getting them a car for a day trip. The Lakhtokia area is always buzzing with traders and travelers, so there is a lot of energy around the office. We don't really have a big corporate structure; it's more like a family-run feel where everyone does a bit of everything. Sometimes we are out on the road and other times we are stuck in the office doing the accounts. It is a bit of a juggle but we have gotten used to it over the years. We know the city like the back of our hands, from the quiet parts of Lokhra to the chaos of S S Road. We just try to provide a simple way for people to travel without having to figure it all out on their own.
