Lakshmi Nath Bezbaruah (L N B) High School

Our school sits over at House No 22 in Lichu Bagan. It is right in the Jaya Nagar area near Sixmile. Most people around Khanapara know where we are. We have been here for a good long time now, serving the local families in this part of Guwahati. Being a high school, we see a lot of different students coming through the gates every morning. The place is usually full of energy, especially during the lunch breaks. We have regular classrooms where the teachers go through the lessons. It is not a shiny new building, but it has plenty of character and serves its purpose well. We try to keep things organized, though with so many teenagers around, it can get a bit messy sometimes. We focus on the basics of the high school curriculum. There is a lot of studying going on, especially when exams are coming up. We have a small yard where students hang out between classes. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day, but inside the gates, we try to keep it focused on the books. It’s a neighborhood school through and through. We know most of the families around here by name. It is just a regular place where local kids come to grow up and get their education before heading out into the real world. We just keep moving forward one day at a time, making sure the building is open and the classes are happening.
