Hanoos Travels

We've been at the Mangalam Building for a while now. Most people know the spot on A T Road because it's right across from the State Bank of India in Bharalumukh. It’s a busy part of Guwahati, but we like it here. My name is one of the staff here, and we run Hanoos Travels. It’s a small office where we spend most of our mornings looking at bus schedules and train timings for people in the neighborhood. We don't have fancy brochures or anything like that. People just walk in when they need to get somewhere and we try to find a seat for them. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to have a proper cup of tea while we wait for the next person. We handle a lot of local stuff, like people going to see family or heading out for work in other districts. Living in Guwahati, you get used to the traffic around here, especially near the bank where things get crowded. We just focus on getting the tickets printed correctly so there aren't any headaches later on at the station. It’s mostly just us sitting here with the computers and the stacks of paperwork. We’ve seen the area change a bit over the years, but the office stays pretty much the same. If you’re around Bharalumukh and need to figure out a trip, you’ll find us easily enough. We keep things pretty straightforward and don't make a big fuss about things. It’s just our daily work.
