G T Tours & Travels is over at House No 19 on the ground floor. We are in Tarun Nagar, specifically By Lane 5, just off G S Road. If you know where Rajib Bhawan is, we are very close to that. It is a bit quieter back here in the lane compared to the main road, which is nice sometimes. Dispur is a busy part of Guwahati, but our little corner feels a bit more like a neighborhood. We set up the office here to be accessible but out of the direct noise of the heavy traffic. Inside, it is just a plain room with some desks and a couple of computers. We spend our hours looking at maps and booking seats for people. Sometimes the neighbors pop in for a chat while we are working. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the travel arrangements are handled right. The ground floor location is handy because nobody has to climb any stairs. We have a few files stacked up and some old calendars on the wall. It’s a simple operation. We just like being in this part of town near the government buildings and the schools. It’s a decent place to spend the day working. We usually have some tea around four o'clock. It is just how things go here. We don't try to be anything we are not, just a small business doing our thing on the ground floor. We usually lock up around 7 PM or so.
