Svm Convent School is tucked away in M B Nagar, specifically at House 4/601:24:126, Bhavani Nivas. Being on M B Nagar Main Road in Gulbarga makes us easy to find, even if the address looks a bit long on paper. It’s a neighborhood school through and through. The building has a lived-in feel because it’s part of the community here. Many of the children just walk from the nearby houses to get to class. We don’t have a massive campus, but we make the most of the space we have in the Bhavani Nivas area. The classrooms are filled with wooden benches and the walls have some charts the kids made. Our day usually starts with the sound of the gate opening and the local street dogs wandering off. We focus on the daily lessons. There’s no big corporate office telling us what to do; it’s just us teachers and the principal making decisions as they come up. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit muddy, but the kids don't seem to mind much. We spend our afternoons grading papers and getting ready for the next day. It’s a quiet life mostly, aside from the recess noise. Parents often drop in during the afternoon to ask about homework. We know most of the families by name because we’ve been here for a while now. It’s just a regular school doing regular work every day.
