Chetan Youth Forums High School

This high school is located in Gazipura, Gulbarga. It sits right in the middle of a busy neighborhood where there are shops and houses all around. Since it’s a high school, the students are older, so things are a bit different than a primary school. You see them standing around in groups talking about their exams or cricket before the first bell. The building is made of stone and brick, which helps a bit with the Gulbarga heat, though it still gets quite warm in the afternoons. We have several classrooms spread across two levels. The stairs are narrow and worn down from years of students walking up and down. We have a small office near the entrance where the head sits and where the parents come to pay the fees. There isn't much of a garden, just a few dusty patches where the kids park their cycles. Inside the rooms, the walls are covered with charts about history and science that have been there for years. We use simple wooden furniture that’s seen a lot of use. The atmosphere is usually quite serious because the older kids have a lot of studying to do. During the breaks, they go out to the local tea stalls or just sit on the steps. It’s a very local place, and everyone in Gazipura knows where the Chetan school is. We just focus on the syllabus and getting the work done.
