Morarji Desai Model School

Morarji Desai Model School is situated on Narayanpet Road in the small town of Gurmatkal. It is a very straightforward location to find. If you are traveling down Narayanpet Road, you will eventually come across our gates. Gurmatkal is the kind of place where most people know each other, so we do not really need a lot of big signs or advertisements to let folks know where we are. The school building is a solid, no-nonsense structure that has been a part of this local landscape for a long time. We are officially called a model school, but to the families living around here, it is simply the place where their children go to get their education. It can get very hot on this side of the town, so we do our best to keep things as comfortable as we can inside the classrooms. There is not much fuss or fancy decoration to be found around the premises. We have our standard classrooms, a playground for the students, and the basic offices for the staff. Life moves at a bit of a slower and more predictable pace in Gurmatkal than it does in the bigger cities, and we are quite happy with that. Most of our students come from the immediate area, either walking or taking local transport along Narayanpet Road. We see the same familiar faces at the market and on the streets every day. We are not part of some massive corporate chain; we just do our daily work here.
