Zalansar Farmers Producer Company Limited

Jhalansar is where we call home, and you can find our group at Damodar Lalji Bamroliya’s place. It’s a local setup for the Zalansar Farmers Producer Company Limited. We are right in the middle of the village life here in the 362011 zip code area. Usually, there are a few of us sitting around discussing the daily chores or what the government is saying about the crops this month. It isn’t a corporate office with air conditioning or glass walls. Instead, it’s just a room where we get together to figure out how to sell what we grow. Damodar has been around a long time and knows most of the folks in the area. We have piles of paperwork that seem to never end, mostly just keeping track of who brought what and when the trucks are coming. The road outside can get a bit muddy when the monsoon hits, but that’s normal for us. We drink a lot of tea while we work through the accounts. It’s a lot of work being a producer company because everyone relies on each other to get a fair shake. We don’t do much advertising because people just walk in when they have a question or need to drop off their harvest. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for the people living in Jhalansar. We just try to keep things moving forward one day at a time.
