Lal Bahaddur Singh

Lal Bahaddur Singh is the name on the door, and we’re located at Char Chowk, right near the police station. Our main thing is the Warmi Compost. It’s honest work, though it’s definitely not the cleanest. We spend most of our time out back with the bins and the worms. It’s a bit of a process, and you can’t really rush it. Being near the police station means it’s a safe enough spot, and Char Chowk is usually bustling with people going about their business. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. Most of what we do is by hand, turning the piles and making sure the moisture is just right. It’s quiet work for the most part, except for the birds that hang around looking for a snack. We aren't trying to sell you a dream or anything; it’s just good compost for gardens and farms. Sometimes the smell is a bit much, especially when it’s hot outside, but you get used to it after a few days. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who don't mind getting our hands dirty. There’s no big sign or flashing lights. If you’re looking for us, you just look for the gate near the intersection. It’s a practical business, and we just keep at it day after day without much fuss or bother. We just focus on the soil and the bins.
