Titabor Paat Muga Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are located in Kokodungahabi Gaon, which is a small village area in Titabor. You have to look for Kumali Buragohain’s place to find us, specifically in Block No 1. Our work revolves around Paat and Muga silk, which is very common in this part of Assam but still takes a lot of time and patience. The farmers here are used to the rhythm of the seasons and the needs of the silkworms. It’s a local producer company, so it’s mostly just us villagers working together. We don’t have a fancy office building, just a simple place where we can meet and manage the silk production. The roads can get quite muddy when it rains, making it hard to get things in and out sometimes. We spend a lot of time talking to the farmers and checking on the cocoons. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the details. Some days are slow, and other days everyone is rushing to get the silk processed. We eat our lunch together and talk about the crops or the weather. It’s a very grounded way of living and working. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the Paat and Muga we are producing right here in the village. It's honest work that has been done here for a long time by our families and neighbors.
