Pokhila Farmer Producer Company Limited

It’s not fancy here at Pokhila Farmer Producer Company Limited. We mostly work out of house number 0 with Dharitri Das. The sun gets really hot in the afternoons but the work doesn't stop for that. Most days you'll find us checking on the crops or talking to the other folks nearby about what seeds are working for them this year. It's just a group of us trying to make sure the farming goes okay and everyone gets by. We didn't really plan on being a big company, it just happened because we needed a way to get things done together instead of alone. Some days are harder than others when the rain doesn't come or when there's way too much of it. We don't have a big office with air conditioning or anything like that. It's just a room where we keep our books and sit down to talk. People stop by all the time to ask questions or just to see what we're up to. We try to be helpful to our neighbors. The address is simple, and so is the way we do things around here. We spend a lot of time outside. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up because we'd rather be out in the dirt. That's just how it is. We focus on the plants and making sure everyone gets their fair share when the harvest finally comes. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours, but it’s what we know how to do.
