Bedeti Tea Producer Company Limited

Bedeti Tea Producer Company Limited is found on the Boralimarabedeti Bazar Road. We are at Pradip Kumar Sarmah’s place in Bedeti. We are in the Behali area, which is a good spot for tea. Most of us grew up around these gardens. We decided to form this company to handle our own tea production instead of letting others do it for us. It’s a lot of responsibility and we are still learning the ropes of the business side. Pradip handles a lot of the coordinator work from his house. The road outside can get quite busy with people going to the market, but we stay focused on the leaves. We have a small shed where we gather the harvest. It’s humid and hot work, and we all have to pitch in when it's time to pick. We don't have any polished marketing slogans. We are just a bunch of neighbors working toward a common goal. We talk about the weather constantly because it dictates our whole lives. Too much rain is bad, and too little is worse. We share meals together sometimes after a long day in the gardens. It’s a community thing more than a corporate thing. If you come down Bazar Road, you’ll likely see us working or taking a short break. We’re just trying to do right by the land and our families. It is just hard work and simple living for us.
