Gamkharu Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are the Gamkharu Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited. Our location is on Hatiboruahali Street in Holongapar Gohain Gaon. That is in the Jorhat district of Assam. It’s a group for the women farmers in this area. We have been farming for generations, but now we have this company name. It is not a corporate thing. It is just us women meeting up to talk about the crops and the harvest. Jorhat is a good place for farming. We deal with tea and other crops mostly. You can find us at house number 81. It is just a regular house on a regular street. We don't have a big sign or a lobby. Usually, we are out in the fields or in our backyards working. We share what we know about the soil. The weather in Assam can be very wet, so we have to plan around the rains. We are not writers, so this might sound a bit plain. But that is who we are. Simple people doing honest work. We don't use big marketing slogans. We just want to make sure our families are okay and the farming gets done. People around Holongapar know who we are. We've been here a long time. Working together makes the heavy lifting a bit easier for everyone involved. That is the whole point of Gamkharu for us.
