Basni is a loud and busy part of town, especially in the heavy industrial area where we are located. Our building is at G-33, and it has been our home for a long time. Welpro Exports is not a huge company with fancy slogans. We are just a group of people who come in every morning to handle industrial exports. The air around here always has that metallic smell, and there is a constant hum from the neighboring units. Our office is a small room with an old ceiling fan that clicks rhythmically all day long. We don’t spend much time in there anyway because most of the real work happens on the floor. We are usually busy checking parts or supervising the loading of containers. The narrow lanes in Basni can be a real pain when the big trucks try to turn around, and we often have to go out and help guide them. It is hard work, particularly during the summer months when the sun beats down on the metal roof. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write shiny brochures for us. If someone wants to see what we do, they just walk through the front gate. We know our neighbors well, and we often lend each other tools or help out when someone’s delivery is late. It is a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We just keep our heads down and do the job every day.
