Chitrani Handicraft

Chitrani Handicraft is over at Plot 353 on Mohan B Street 9. We are tucked away in the B. J. S Colony area. Street numbers can get a little confusing around here, so we tell people to look for Street 9 specifically. Our workspace is usually filled with various materials and half-finished items. It is not a showroom style place; it is where the actual making happens. We have scraps of fabric and different tools scattered around the tables. The colony is a bit of a maze, but it’s a nice community to be part of. We spend our days cutting, sewing, and putting things together by hand. It can be a messy process, but that’s just how handicrafts work. There is always a lot of activity at Plot 353, especially when we have a big batch of items to finish. We don't really have set hours that are strictly followed; we just work until the job is done. The light in the workshop is okay, but we often keep the door open to get some fresh air from the street. Most of our neighbors know us as the people who are always busy with crafts. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. If you walk down Mohan B Street 9, you’ll likely hear us talking and working away inside the shop.
