Our place is over at Plot No. 2, right across from C-236 in the Basni Phase-II industrial area. Jodhpur is known for its handicrafts, and we are right in the middle of where all that action happens. The yard is usually full of wood, metal scraps, and half-finished pieces waiting for the next step. It is a dusty environment, and the Jodhpur heat can be really intense, especially during the summer months. We spend a lot of time in the workshop area making sure the carvings and the finishes look right. It’s not a clean or quiet job; there is always the sound of saws or hammers going. We don't have a fancy catalog or a big marketing team. Most people find us because they know we’ve been in Basni for a long time and we know how to handle the materials. When it’s time to ship things out, the whole place gets even busier with packing crates and bubble wrap everywhere. We try to keep things organized, but in a busy export house, there is always something moving around. It’s hard work, and our hands are usually dirty by the time we head home. We just take it one order at a time, making things that eventually end up in homes far away from this dusty plot in Rajasthan. It is a long process from the first cut of the wood to the final packing.
