Rajesh Handicraft is situated at No. 6-W-697 in the Kudi Bhagtasni Housing Board area. Our workshop is basically part of the local housing colony, so we are right in the middle of where people live. We make all sorts of small decorative items and crafts here. Most of the work is done on small tables with lots of different bits and pieces scattered around. It’s a bit messy because we are always in the middle of a few different projects at once. We use glue, paint, and some fabric or wood depending on what we are making that day. The neighbors are used to the small sounds of us working through the afternoon. We don’t have a big store or a fancy display window. Most people find out about us through word of mouth or by just walking past our door in the housing board. It’s a small operation, usually just a few family members or friends helping out when there’s a lot to do. We try to keep things organized but it doesn't always stay that way when we are busy. We enjoy the process of making things by hand even if it takes a lot of patience. It’s a steady way to spend the day, and we like being part of the Kudi Bhagtasni community. We don't make any big claims about our work; we just do it because it’s what we have done for a while.
