We are located at G-732-733 in the 4th Phase of the Riico Industrial Area in Boranada. It is a busy industrial hub, and our workshop is right in the heart of it. At Vinayak Art, we don’t have much time for fancy talk. We are mostly focused on making art pieces and getting them ready for export. The workshop is divided into different sections for carving, finishing, and packing. There is always a smell of fresh wood or paint in the air, which we’ve all grown used to over time. The floor is usually covered in packing straw or cardboard scraps because there is always a shipment going out. We have a few old desks where the management side of things happens, but even those are usually covered in tools or samples. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We’ve had the same workers for a long time, and we all know each other’s families pretty well. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a sales team. We just rely on the quality of the things we make to keep the orders coming in. Lunchtime is usually quiet, with everyone sitting in the shade of the building to escape the Jodhpur heat. It’s a tough job sometimes, especially when we have a big deadline, but we just put our heads down and get through it. We stay until the work is finished, often long after the sun has gone down.
