Traditional Handicrafts Centre

Our shop is Traditional Handicrafts Centre and you can find us at Plot No. 2B, Near Circuit House, right on Umaid Bhawan Palace Road. Being so close to the palace means there are always people walking by, but inside it’s just us working. The building is older and has its quirks, like a door that sticks when it rains. We spend most of our time unboxing items and making sure they are sitting right on the shelves. It’s a lot of physical work and my hands are often dirty by lunchtime. We don't have a big team of experts. It’s just a few of us who know where everything is kept. The Umaid Bhawan Palace Road is a busy place, so there is always something to look at out the window. We’ve been at Plot No. 2B for a long time and we don't plan on moving. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or marketing tricks. If someone likes what they see, they buy it. If not, that’s fine too. We just like the crafts we have and we enjoy being part of the local community. It isn't a high-pressure environment. We just take things as they come. Some days are better than others, but that is just how business goes. We stay busy and we keep the place running as best as we can without any fuss. It's just a regular day at the centre.
