Toshakhana

Toshakhana is found in Saket Colony, right off Residency Road. It is a decent spot to be because it’s close enough to the main road but tucked away just enough to avoid the worst of the noise. The walk from the main gate of the colony to our place is short, and there are a lot of trees around that give some shade. Inside, we have a variety of items that we keep track of. It’s a bit of a mix, and things can get a little cluttered when a new shipment arrives before we’ve cleared out the old ones. We spend a lot of time counting stock and making sure the labels are correct. The building we are in has been here for years, so it feels very lived-in. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. Usually, if someone comes by, they just walk right into the main work area where we are sitting. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things. We have a small staff and we’ve all been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to know what needs to be done next. Residency Road can get backed up in the evenings, so we usually try to wrap up our tasks before the rush hour starts. It’s just a local business doing its thing every day in a quiet corner of Saket Colony.
