Down on Street No. 6 in the 2nd Phase of Basni, you’ll find us at E131A. Suman Art & Craft has been sitting in this exact spot for quite some time now. It is an industrial area, so there is always a lot of noise from trucks moving around outside. Inside the shop, we are usually busy working with our hands. It is dusty work, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We do not have a fancy showroom to show off. Most of the space is just for the raw materials and the tools we use every single day. It is not always pretty to look at, but it is where we spend most of our waking hours. My family started this business years ago, and now we just keep it going as best as we can. Some days the heat in the workshop is a bit much, especially in the summer, but we get used to it. We aren’t trying to be the biggest shop in Basni, just a steady one that stays open. We use a lot of local stuff and try to keep our process simple. If someone walks in, they will probably find us right in the middle of a project. We do not mind the mess because it just means we are actually making something. It is a lot of hard work, but seeing something finished at the end of the day feels alright. We just keep our heads down.
