Srs Handicraft

We run Srs Handicraft out of a factory space at number 466 in Ada Bazar, which is in the Baldev Nagar area. It’s more of a production place than a fancy shop for people to walk through. We have machines and tools set up for making different kinds of handicraft items. The floor is usually covered in wood shavings or fabric scraps depending on what we are working on that week. It’s a bit of a noisy environment with the sounds of cutting and hammering going on throughout the day. We don't get many walk-in customers because it’s a factory, but people who know we are here often stop by to see what’s being made. Baldev Nagar is a good spot for us because it’s easy for the trucks to come and go with materials. We have a small office tucked in the corner where we handle the bills and the phone calls. The lighting isn't the best, so we use a few extra lamps when we are doing the fine work. It’s a hands-on business and we are usually tired by the end of the day. We don't have any polished speeches about what we do. We just make things and hope they turn out well. It’s hard work, but it’s what we’ve always done. The building is old but it stays cool enough in the summer months. We just keep our heads down and work.
