Simran Exports

Our office and workspace are at 276, Anand Bhawan, on 4th Road in Sardarpura. This is a pretty active part of the city, with a lot of shops and houses all mixed together. Our building is easy to spot once you get onto 4th Road. We don’t have a big warehouse; instead, we use the space we have in Anand Bhawan to manage our export business. It gets a bit crowded when a new shipment is being prepared. Boxes get stacked up in the hallway and we have to shimmy past them to get to the back. It’s a bit of a squeeze, but we’ve managed this way for years. The team here is small. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking over the items to make sure nothing is broken. It’s not a fancy corporate environment. We drink a lot of tea and there’s usually some music playing in the background to keep us going. Sardarpura is a good place to be because everything is close by. If we need something, we just walk down the street. We don’t have a mission statement or anything written on the walls. We just want to make sure the things we send out are what people asked for. It’s a lot of paperwork and a lot of packing, but it keeps us busy and we like the rhythm of it. It’s just how we live.
