Shree Ramesh Arora Chat Bhandar

If you head down to 12, New Pali Road in the Jhalamand area of Jodhpur, you will find Shree Ramesh Arora Chat Bhandar. We are quite close to the Jhalamand Circle, which is always a swirl of cars and motorbikes. It is a noisy spot, but it’s a good place for a shop like ours. We don’t have a lot of room inside, so most of the action happens right at the front counter. The smell of frying spices and potatoes is always in the air here. We have a few benches outside, but they are usually full, so most people just stand around the circle to eat their snacks. The walls are a bit stained from the steam and the cooking, and we don’t bother much with decorations. It’s a practical place. We use a lot of paper plates and little wooden spoons, and there’s always a pile of them near the bin. Being near 342005 means we get a lot of travelers passing through and locals coming from work. The floor gets a bit sticky by the end of the day, but we wash it down every night before closing the shutters. It is just a local chat bhandar where the food is hot and the tea is strong. We’ve been at this spot near the circle for a while now, just serving whoever walks up to the counter and wants a quick bite to eat before they move on.
