Shree Laxmi Art Export

Our workshop is at 15A on New Power House Road, right in the Heavy Industrial Area. It’s a big, open space because we do a lot of art export work. You’ll find pieces of wood, metal, and half-finished furniture scattered all over the place. There’s a lot of sawdust in the air most of the time. We have craftsmen who have been with us for years, and they know how to work the materials. It’s a noisy place with saws and hammers going from morning until evening. We don't have a proper showroom; we just show people what we’re currently working on right there on the floor. It’s hot in the summer, but the big doors stay open to let some air in. We pack everything ourselves into big crates to send them overseas. The New Power House Road area is always busy with trucks and heavy vehicles. We started small and just kept adding more space as we needed it. It’s not a clean or quiet office. It’s a place where things are made by hand. We have tea twice a day and sit on the benches outside the main gate. People come to us when they want something that isn't made in a factory. We just like making things that look good and last a long time. The floor is always covered in wood shavings, but that is part of the charm of the place.
