Garud Enterprises

Garud Enterprises is situated at 144-A in Gayatri Nagar, which is over near Sangaria Fanta in Jodhpur. The sun really hits this part of the building in the afternoon, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool. It’s a pretty basic place with a lot of storage and a small office area where we keep the ledger and the phone. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite some time now. You’ll see trucks coming and going because of where we are near the main road. The dust from the road sometimes gets inside, so we are always dusting off the desks and the equipment. We handle a lot of different items and the inventory changes every week depending on what’s coming in. It’s mostly just us moving boxes and checking lists. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just a few of us making sure orders get out to where they need to go. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone drinking chai or talking loudly on a mobile phone to a supplier. The floors are concrete and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn’t stop us from getting the work done. Jodhpur is a busy place and Gayatri Nagar has its own pace. We just fit in with the other businesses around here, doing our daily routine without much fuss or any big speeches about ourselves.
