Salasar Balaji Crafts

We've been at 24(A) in the Light Industrial Area for a while now. It’s a busy spot, mostly warehouses and small workshops like ours. When you walk in, you usually hear the sounds of machines running or people moving things around. Salasar Balaji Crafts is really just a handful of us making things by hand. Most days start early with a cup of tea before we get into the actual work. There’s always wood shavings or scrap material on the floor by noon. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in our work clothes, covered in dust or paint. It gets hot in the shed during the summer, but we keep the fans going and just get on with it. Some projects take longer than others, especially when a machine acts up or we're waiting on a delivery of supplies. We try to keep things organized, but in a place like this, things tend to pile up. People around here know us as the place that’s always busy. We don’t spend much time on the computer or making things look pretty for photos. We’re usually too busy actually making the items. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied from morning until evening. Sometimes we stay late to finish up a batch if a truck is coming the next day. That’s just how it goes here.
