Our shop, Rajendra Kumar Ashok Kumar, is located right in Katla Bazar. If you are looking for us, we are near Achalnathji Ka Mandir. You can often hear the temple bells throughout the day, which is a nice sound to have in the background. Jodhpur is known for being hot, and Katla Bazar really traps that heat between the old buildings. We spend most of our time standing at the counter or moving things in the back. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use the space wisely. We don't use any complicated systems here. Everything is done by hand, mostly with paper and pens. It’s just how we have always operated. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked by a cart or too many people, and everything slows down for a bit. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, so we talk to them when it’s slow. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. If someone needs something, they just come to the bazaar and find us. We keep the doors open all day to let whatever breeze there is come inside. The floor is made of stone and it stays cool even when it’s baking outside. We just keep our heads down and handle the customers as they come. It is hard work, but it’s what we know. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just us here working every day.
