R. K. Arts & Handicraft

R. K. Arts & Handicraft is situated in the SEZ area of Boranada. Being in a Special Economic Zone means there’s a lot of activity around us all the time, mostly trucks and big warehouses. Our place is full of raw materials like wood and metal, along with the finished pieces waiting to be boxed up. It smells like sawdust and polish most of the time. We work with local artisans who really know their craft. They aren’t just employees; they’re people who have been doing this their whole lives. We spend our days looking over the new designs or making sure the packing is sturdy enough for a long trip. It’s not a quiet job. There’s always the sound of hammers or sanding machines in the background. We try to keep things organized, but when you’re dealing with handicrafts, there’s always a bit of a mess. It’s part of the charm, I guess. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone walking around in suits. Most of us wear work clothes because we’re likely to get something on them by noon. We focus on the things we’re making and getting them out of the SEZ on time. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping track of details. We like the grit of the Boranada area. It feels like a place where things actually get built, and we’re glad to be a small part of that.
