Our place is at C-65 in the MIA, Basni Phase II area of Jodhpur. It is an industrial zone, so there are always sounds of work coming from all the buildings around us. We have a decent-sized workshop where we spend most of our time. It is full of tools, materials, and whatever projects we are currently working on. It gets pretty dusty inside, and we are always sweeping up, but it never stays clean for long. We have been in this spot for a good while and we know the other business owners in the area. We are not a big company with a lot of rules. It is just a few of us who know how to make things. We do not have a fancy office or a receptionist. If someone comes to see us, they usually just find us in the back working on something. The work can be tiring, especially when we have a lot of orders to get through, but we enjoy the process of making things from scratch. We do not use any marketing speak to describe our work. We just make what people ask for and try to do a solid job. Sometimes the afternoon sun hits the workshop and it gets very warm, so we take a break for some cold water. It is a simple, hardworking life here in Basni and we are quite content with it.
