Apple Handicrafts is tucked away at Plot No. 18 in Vardhman Gayatri Nagar. We are right near the Ball Basara and not too far from the Kandanchavadi area. Our place is full of all kinds of materials and half-finished projects. It's a bit of a maze inside with boxes stacked up to the ceiling. We make a variety of handicrafts, and there’s always a lot of manual labor involved. Whether it's carving or assembling, someone is always busy with their hands. The neighborhood is a mix of houses and small businesses, so it feels very local. We often have the radio playing in the background to keep the energy up. It gets quite dusty with all the materials we use, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up at the end of the day. People in Gayatri Nagar know us as the place that’s always busy making something. We don't have a big showroom; it's more of a working studio where things actually get made. Sometimes our neighbors drop by for a chat while we’re working. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the craft. It's not a fast-paced environment, but we have our deadlines to meet. Finding Plot 18 can be tricky if you're not from around here, but if you find the Uposte Kandanchavadi landmark, you're close enough. It's just a small team of us doing what we know how to do best with our hands.
