If you head down to Mandore Mandi Market, you will find us at Shop Number F1 12. My name is Om Prakash Agarwal and this is where I spend most of my waking hours. The mandi is a chaotic place, especially very early in the morning when the trucks start arriving. There is a lot of shouting and the sound of heavy bags being moved around. Jodhpur 342001 gets really hot, so we try to get the heavy work done before the sun is too high. My shop isn't very large, just enough space for the essentials and a place to sit. The walls are lined with shelves that have seen better days. I remember when we first moved into this unit, it felt much bigger than it does now with all the stuff piled up. We don't have a website or any of those modern things, just a phone that rings when someone needs something. Usually, it's just neighbors from the other stalls coming over to chat or share a quick snack. The floor gets dusty because of all the market activity, no matter how much we sweep it. It’s just part of being in the Mandore Mandi. Sometimes I think about changing things around, but then I realize everything is right where I can find it. It’s a practical way to live and work. I wouldn't know what to do if I wasn't here at the market every day.
