New Light Art Exports

New Light Art Exports is located out in Boranada, specifically in the EPIP area at G-445/459. If you know Jodhpur, you know how dry and hot it gets out here in the industrial zones. We spend our time working on various art pieces and items meant for export. Most of what we do involves a lot of manual work, moving crates, and making sure everything is packed up right for long journeys. It’s a big space because we need the room for all the materials and the finished pieces waiting to go out. The dust from the desert sometimes blows into the shed, but we just sweep it out and keep going. We aren’t really a shop where you can just walk in and browse; it’s more of a working warehouse and production spot. There are several of us here who handle the packing and the checking. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when the sun is high and the tin roof gets warm. We’ve got a routine that works for us, starting early before the heat gets too bad. Being in the export business means we have to be careful with how things are handled. We don’t have fancy offices or anything like that. Just some desks in the corner and a lot of space for the actual work. It’s a quiet part of the area, away from the main city buzz, which suits us just fine.
