Mukesh Art Handicrafts

We are located over at E-16/17 in the 2nd Phase of M.I.A., Basni. Mukesh Art Handicrafts is a place where we basically live and breathe the work we do. It’s an industrial patch, so don’t expect anything too green or pretty around here. We have a lot of raw materials sitting around in piles, and the machines can be a bit loud when they're all running at once. We’ve been in this spot for years. Some of the guys have been with us since the day we opened the doors. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s not always easy, especially when the power goes out or a machine breaks down on a Tuesday. We just fix it and keep going. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a PR person to talk to the press. We just talk to people directly when they come by. The workshop floor is always covered in something, whether it’s wood shavings or little metal bits. We don't mind it much. It’s just part of the day. We aren't trying to sound like some big corporation with a board of directors. We are just a local shop in Basni trying to make things that people might want to use in their homes. Every day is pretty much the same, but that’s okay with us. We just keep at it and hope the machines stay running for another week.
